Tangrist sanctuariesIn the Loudogorie Mountain Region one can find the sanctuaries of the God Tangra (Tengri) close to the village of Madara, nearby the magic symbolic relief of the Madara Knight. There are preserved sanctuaries in the Old Bulgarian capitals Pliska and Preslav. Tangrism is shamanism from Mid Asia brought by the Old Bulgarians during the Great Migration of Peoples from Pamir and Tyanshan Regions. |
