Thracian sanctuariesThe Sanctuary of Orpheus is located in the Rhodopes near the village of Gela, which is supposed to be his birthplace. The Rock of Orpheus (Orfeeva Skala) is in Pamporovo Resort. In this region are also the Trigrad Gorge, the Dyavolsko Garlo Cave (The Devils Throat), the sanctuary near the village of Mugla. Orpheus is one of the great Teachers of mankind, father of the first esoteric doctrine on the Balkans.
