SpeleologySpeleology is rahter popular in Bulgaria. The existence of vast karst areas (Karloukovo, the gorge of the Iskar River, the Dobrostan Mountain Massif and Trigrad Region in the Western Rhodopes, Ponor Mountain in the western part of the Balkan, the Pirin karst, some areas in the Vratsa sub-part of the Balkan Mountain) is an actual prerequisite. Some of the most interesting caves are lighted inside and open to visitors Ledenika (in the Vratsa sub-part of the Balkan Mountain), Dyavolskoto Garlo (Devils Throat) and Yagodinska Cave (in the Western Rhodopes), Magourata (in Western Stara Planina).
