Water TourismThere are relatively good conditions for water-tourism in Bulgaria. The Danube River and all other dams and big lakes offer opportunities all the year round. In some of the popular Bulgarian rivers Iskar, Maritsa, Vit, Yantra, Struma, Arda, etc. there are good conditions for water sports only from March to May during the spring high waters. Another variation of water-tourism becomes more popular recently rafting (sailing down swift waters with a raft). The best opportunities offers Strouma River, but the fans keep trying along other rivers, as well.
