Water Tourism
There are relatively good conditions for water-tourism in Bulgaria. The Danube River and all other dams and big lakes offer opportunities all the year round. In some of the popular Bulgarian rivers – Iskar, Maritsa, Vit, Yantra, Struma, Arda, etc. there are good conditions for water sports only from March to May during the spring high waters. Another variation of water-tourism becomes more popular recently – rafting (sailing down swift waters with a raft). The best opportunities offers Strouma River, but the fans keep trying along other rivers, as well.
